Question: Generally people know about Vishnu or Kshirodakasayi Vishnu. The general public has not heard about other Vishnu forms- Karanodayakasayi Visnu, Garbhodaka sayi Vishnu etc. and other expansions of Krishna: Immediate expansion as Balarama and subsequent expansions. Where in this information in sastras is available?
We would like to know more about these details of different forms of Krishna’s expansions and about Universal egg.
Answer by Romapada Swami: Srimad Bhagavatam 1.2.23 purport gives a condensed list of the catur-vyuha expansion. The actual description of the different levels of expansion is quite complex and presented in great detail in Canto 2 of Srimad Bhagavatam. There is also a detailed summary description of the different categories of expansion from Vishnu found in SB 1.3.5 purport.
