Q. Is it forbidden to perform parikrama of Lord Shiva?
Answer By Romapada Swami: By parikrama I assume you mean circumambulation. Scriptures say that Lord Siva is half circumambulated. You may notice that in Siva temples there is often a fence on one side. When circumambulating Lord Siva we go around to the fence, and then turn around and go back. This is called half circumambulation.
