Question: In Jiva Goswami’s Gopal Campu, we hear the names Madhukaëöha and Snigdhakaëöha. Who are they?
Answer by Romapada Swami: The two brothers are twins and are disciples of Narada, who have been trained by him in the art of singing, praising and reciting. From their total devotion to Narada, he bestowed upon them the capacity to know everything, and because of that they are protectors of the poetic arts. The elder of the two twins is Madhukaëöha, who is the primary reciter of Gopal Campu.
