Offenses Against Devotees

Digest 00668: Does Krsna Intervene if an Offended Devotee does not Forgive the Offender?

Written by Romapada Swami

Question: Kṛṣṇa can remove contaminations in the heart. But for the offenses that were already made to devotees because of contaminations in the offender’s heart, if the offender has received neither the forgiveness from the other party nor the dust at the other party’s feet, will Kṛṣṇa intervene if the offender sincerely confessed to Kṛṣṇa?

Answer by Romapada Swami:

We should not be hesitant to approach any devotee who we have offended. However, there may be circumstances where we do not even know which devotee we have offended. We may have committed some offenses unknowingly. In such a situation, we can approach Kṛṣṇa in the way you described. Kṛṣṇa will then intervene on our behalf to clear the unintentional and unknowingly committed offense.
