Question: Sometimes we hear very detailed descriptions regarding lilas of Krishna and His associates in Vraja which do not appear within any known scriptural reference to substantiate those details. How are we to process such narrations? For example, both Rupa Goswami and Raghunath das Goswami wrote literature detailing “tax pastimes” between Krishna and the gopis. What is the scriptural basis in support of within literatures like this?
